PHASE 1 REPORT - CONSERVATION MANAGEMENT PLAN

In August 2005 the Ulverston Partnership commissioned Elaine Rigby Architects and others to work with all interested parties to prepare a Conservation Management Plan for the monument. Funding for this work was provided, in the main, by the Heritage Lottery Fund, based on matched funding from the Ulverston Town Council & the Friends of the Sir John Barrow Monument.
The Conservation Management Plan provides detailed information and costings to enable a second bid to be made to the Heritage Lottery Fund to repair the monument.  For commercial reasons, the costings have been removed from the document (Appendix 3).  A hard copy of this report was recieved by the Ulverston Town Council in March 2007 & in August an electronic copy was received to facilitate placing it on this web site for public access.
