Friends group was recently established to bring together all those who
would like to contribute in anyway to supporting the Monument.
Tasks which the group have identified include:

|
- Raising
the monument’s historical profile
|
- Providing
interpretation material
|
- Creating
links with schools
|
- Developing
a Conservation Plan for the Monument
|
- Assisting
the Monument Keeper in increasing the opening hours of the Monument during
the summer months.
|
|
| The
Friends group meet monthly at the Kings Head Hotel in Ulverston and new members
are always most welcome.
