Following the
submission of the Phase 2 application to the Heritage Lottery Fund on
7th September 2007, the Friends of the Monument, in
conjunction with the Ulverston Town Council Monument Working Group are tasked with raising
£220,000 by end 2008 as our required matched funding contribution towards securing the
Phase 2 Heritage Lottery grant.

Donation |
|
| To ensure that we re-open the
Monument to the public at the earliest opportunity, it is necessary for us to
reach our matched funding targets by the end of 2008 / early 2009, when
the renovation work starts in earnest. So please help us if you can.
All donations will go directly into the Sir John Barrow Monument / Ulverston
Town Council Monument Account. |
|
| Hours
Worked in Kind by the Friends |
|
| Additional
to the cash donations, the
Heritage Lottery Fund places a value on the hours of work undertaken on
the Monument project by the Friends & other volunteers and allows us
to include this calculated sum in our Phase 2 submission for the final
amount of financial support required to complete the Monument
restoration. However, this will only apply from the start of the
Phase 2 of the restoration project in April 2008. |
| The
voluntary work covers attendance at meetings, events, administration,
professional advice, etc. after 1st April 2008 |
|
| The Friends of the Monument would like
to offer a very sincere "thank you"
for your valued donations. |
|
| Please don't forget to "tell a
friend", possibly by using the "E-Mail a
Friend" button. |
