is a selection of photographs recording the 2007 Ulverston Carnival, which took place on
Saturday 7th July. The Carnival was led by a contingent of the
Friends of the Monument, including eight graduates from BAE Systems in
Barrow. A large crowd turned out to line the streets and enjoy the
occasion with everyone having a memorable day. The banner
was carried by Liz & Jack Rice from the Friends, for the full parade
duration. Special "Friends" T shirts were worn by
all. The weather remained fine throughout the 2 hour parade, with
broken cloud and sunshine.
Ralph Spours of the carnival committee presented the Friends with a cheque for £1,242 at a presentation on Wednesday 19th September, at the Ulverston Conservative Club. |
